BE THE PERSON GOD CREATED YOU TO BE

There is a big misconception among most people. The belief is that if God has called you, that means that He wants you to be a preacher or a missionary.  This belief keeps so many people from saying yes.

If you are doing what God called you to do, there will be joy and satisfaction in what you are doing. Of course, there will be setbacks and difficult times, that is just life. If you are in adulthood God has already spoken to you about your calling, your purpose, or your profession. I have counseled hundreds of people about their calling and most of them will admit to knowing what God has called them to do. Some were confused about what God was saying because  they were given the wrong interpretation, or it was just dismissed as a meaningless dream. 

First, I want to talk to those of you who don’t know your purpose or what you were called to do. Get out your journal and write this down: 

1. What are you good at and what do you like to do?

2. Write down a recurrent dream that started in childhood or early adulthood that speaks to your soul.

3. Write down the kind of job you have currently and the kind of jobs you have had in the past.

4. Now determine if there is any correlation between the three and if so draw a conclusion.
